Sketching en plein air

The January weather is so gorgeous! This morning I took the girls for a long walk and then took full advantage and spent a blissful time sketching in the garden.

Hi Sigmosaic ...good to see you. Yes the weather is sunny and quite warm. Still very little rain, which is a problem as the dams are empty. Difficult to dwell on that though when the sun is shining and the day feels so good :)

This is a gorgeous painting. That must have been an enjoable day.
I can see your sketch on the easel and am surprised how small it is. You have captured the subject and light well.
Kind Regards
Trevor

Hi Trevor. Thanks very much for looking in and for your comment. Have to admit that the eye and hand do feel a bit rusty...I'm trying to loosen them up with a few quickies. You have a good point actually though...normally I would work as big as possible to get things warmed up, but the tiny sketchbook felt easier to cope with today.

Lovely painting! Can I add that I am a little envious of your warm weather? ;)
