Poppies in Remembrance
Remembrance
11 November 1914 - 11 November 2014: The 100 year anniversary is fast approaching. Today I remember my Uncle Fred who fought in World War I. He came home. God bless the ones who did not.
My great grandfather came home too, but he came home a broken man, he was a horse driver. I blogged about him last year http://kcscourt.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/rememberance.html and http://kcscourt.blogspot.co.uk/2013/11/remembering-rememberance.html Julie xxxxxx
I can relate to the way your great grandfather was on his return. I didn't give it much thought as a child, but now I understand perhaps why Uncle Fred was the way he was.
